MultiFile + Columnizer

Hello,

For me, your log viewer is far better than commercial ones. Congratulations!

Here is 2 minor requests (unless I can't figure out how to do it):

1) I'd like configure the multifile mask so as every log is open is this mode. I've tried *$J.log for my logs file.log, file1.log, file2.log,... but it's not working. However if I define file$J.log it works.

2) In the same way, I'd like to get every open file automatically columnized with the timestamp columnizer. In Tools/Configure.../Columnizer tab I've tried to enter a regex *, but it doesn't work.

Thx for your support,

1): Seems to be a bug.

2): Try regex .* This should work. * only is not valid regex.

I've also tried the regex .* but it doesn't work neither...seems to be a bug also.

I'm sure .* works. I tried just before posting the answer. :)

Note that LogExpert remembers the used Columnizer for files which have been used already. So the regex setting ony applies to "new" files unless you check the "Mask has priority before history" option.

Sorry you're right, it works! I don't know why it doesn't work when I tried...maybe I had to restart logexpert?!
Thx for your support.
